A direct current generator (DC) is one in which the conductor spins in a magnetic field with the magnetic field rotating with power from an alternator and stopped by stationary conductors. Generators produce what is called an alternating current, which implies that the current changes directions and magnitudes as the cycles change. The voltage power that is created by the conductor is also called electric tension and depends on how fast and how strong the magnetic field actually is.
